My journey into textiles began in an unexpected place — my thesis research in chemistry.

At the time, I envisioned a future in biochemistry and scientific research. Yet through my thesis work, I encountered solution dye technology — a sustainability-driven innovation that challenged conventional textile manufacturing long before it entered the mainstream.
That experience reshaped my perspective.

It revealed the powerful intersection between science, innovation, and environmentally responsible manufacturing. What began as academic research soon became a lifelong passion.

Over the past 20+ years in the textile industry, I have witnessed our industry evolve — from sustainability as an emerging idea to responsibility as an essential commitment.

Along the way, I found partners who shared the same belief: textiles can be made better — for brands, for people, and for the planet.

This belief became the foundation on which I built UKERSEN Textiles.

Today, we are proud to be a women-led organization committed to helping brands build responsibly — combining technical expertise, thoughtful manufacturing, and long-term partnership.
